Leading sleep specialists, Karen Spruyt, Ph.D. & David Gozal, M.D., published an article in the January, 2011 issue of Sleep Medicine Review reporting of their analyses of 183 sleep screening tools for children and adolescents worldwide.  Their psychometric analyses determined that the Sleep Disorders Inventory for Students (SDIS) and only one other non-English inventory have been developed accurately using all 11-recommended steps of validation.  Using these 11-steps results in high validity and reliability that other sleep screening tools do not have.
